Earlier today I was reading an article that made me think about how games have changed over time: https://udaipurtimes.com/business-udaipur/the-biggest-games-arent-really-games-anymore/cid18299204.htm. The author argues that many of the biggest games today aren’t just games anymore — they’ve turned into full online spaces where people socialize, attend events, and create their own experiences. It reminded me of my cousin who sometimes logs into a game just to hang out with his friends and talk after school. He told me they don’t always play matches; sometimes they just explore the map or watch streams together inside the game. Do you think games are slowly becoming more like digital communities rather than just something you play for a few hours?

It’s interesting to read about these changes even from the perspective of someone who doesn’t game much. Digital spaces in general seem to evolve this way — what starts as entertainment slowly turns into a place where people meet, communicate, and share experiences. Games just happen to be one of the most visible examples of that shift right now.
